Colorblind-mess

We decided to paint Aaron's room before moving his stuff back in there from camp. So, we have half-unpacked boxes and pieces of nursery furniture everywhere. Anyway, we had our first family mishap with Josh's colorblindness. I walked into the nursery last night, and Josh was rolling green paint onto the wall (the room is supposed to be painted blue). We had talked about doing one wall a different color, and I thought he'd decided. It does look pretty ... ha ha ha. We had run out of primer and Josh thought that we had white paint, and had enough of it to cover half of one wall. Ha ha ha. We have half of one wall in a custom green color that the people before us left.

Slowing Down

So we're home, we're just about done unpacking, and we're painting Aaron's room. The furniture from his room is scattered randomly around the rest of our little apartment, and it's kind of hard to get around. Fun though. It is so nice to be with him all day - often difficult but good. We're sorting through job options for Josh. I'm considering some per diem work ... maybe. We'll see.

Finished

So, camp is over, and we are packing to go HOME. What a great feeling.

All Out of Clean Towels

You know that you're behind in your housework when you're using a baby-sized froggy-hooded towel after your shower!

Aaron's been grabbing things this week, and absolutely loves his stuffed dog. He kicks his legs, grabs it and makes this really loud gutteral sound! Maybe he was meant to speak German ...

Today I am overwhelmed at the thought of not working ... Reading that statement back to myself it is ironic. Anyway, I know it is where I belong and so I know that grace abounds for the task.

Erin, Housing, Cloth Diapers

My sister Erin (on the left) left today. I miss her already, she was an answer to prayer as a fantastic babysitter. Only ten more days of camp. I am actually getting sad about leaving. It takes me a while to settle into things, and even longer to feel comfortable enough to make friends, and I'm just starting to feel like things make sense here. Anyway, my mom is going to watch Aaron for the next couple of days, and then I'm literally "home free" as a stay-at-home mom.

Josh doesn't have a job yet, but today we got a green light to go back to the student housing as RA's, so our housing at least is taken care of.

I discovered Ebay last night (oh my gosh, it's amazing). My cousin Dawn has been guiding me into the stay-at-home adventure, and so among other things, I've spent the last 24 hours (between working, of course) bidding on cloth diapers. Ha ha. Josh made me a clothes line behind our apartment here for the diapers. I'll have to rig something up when we get back to the city.

First Baseball Game

We went to a baseball game with some friends from camp ... Mostly Aaron just liked the big, bright lights. Ha ha.

A Good Morning

Josh and Aaron are sleeping while I sit and eat chips & guacamole. It doesn't get much better than this! Aaron woke up briefly from the flashes, but found his thumb and was right out again. :)
